Similar creatives search in Adheart: a new feature for ad analysis
We’ve added a new feature to Adheart — similar ads search. Now, when you open any creative in the database, you can see other ads with similar media — even if they are not exact copies.

This allows you to find variations of the same approach faster, analyze how creatives scale, and understand what ideas other advertisers are using.

Let’s take a look at how the new feature works and how it differs from previous search tools.
How similar ads search works
Adheart already has a feature for finding identical media — it finds ads where the images are exactly the same at the pixel level.
The new feature works differently. The system analyzes the creative media — an image or a video preview — and converts it into a special numerical representation (embedding) that describes colors, objects in the image, composition, text, and the overall visual meaning.
After that, the algorithm finds media in the database that are closest in terms of content. This is why the system can detect very similar ad creatives even if they are not exact copies.

In other words, the system searches for creatives that are similar in idea and context, not just identical files.
For example, it can find:
- different variations of the same design;
- adaptations of a creative for other GEOs;
- the same concept but with different text or colors;
- similar creatives from other advertisers.
The new feature supports images (the actual creative image is analyzed) and videos (search works based on the video preview). This makes it possible to find similar creatives even in video ads.
Currently, the feature works in an MVP format. The similar ads block displays 9 closest creatives with scroll, allowing you to view more results. In the future, we plan to expand this feature and add new search capabilities.

We will continue improving the algorithm and expanding the functionality of the feature.
